I keep forgetting that we have a blog , which is really dumb because according to the tracking info I get off of Groupee, we keep getting hit from people who are reading it.

Basically, I thought that we could use the current blog craze to get a little more traffic here on the community and advertise ourselves a bit for free. It seems to be working, but I need your help.

I did a late Christmas update on it. But what ideas do you have for the blog? What do you think we should post? Would you like to be a contributor? And what sort of Blog posts would be helpful to this community as a whole?

How about posting some current news items/links related to gay parenting?

Good idea, I was thinking there are ways of putting an RS feed, or is it RSS? on the blog that will bring in whatever topic you want from certain sources.

Hey, Brian (Mickee!), you think you can help me figure out how to do that? Meanwhile I'll look into it.

By the way, I noticed that yesterday doing a Yahoo search for gay fathers put our blog up on the first page, listed number 3. Today, the same search actually brings up our home page on page one, at number six on the list. So the search engines are finding us and we are getting more traffic.

Very good news. Let's keep thinking of more ways to get the word out to the dads who need a group like ours.
