I am not sure yet if Ron has joined the group, but we recently received this email (sorry, can you tell I'm trying to catch up here? Since the move and the big stuff at work, I've been sooooo behind, but I've missed ya'll):

Anyone here able to give Ron some advice?
quote:

Gentlemen,
My partner and I reside in Florida and are planning to adopt a child from outside of the Untied States. We're trying to network with other couples that have adopted out of the country but reside in Florida. We're trying to gather information on the laws/procedures that follow the out of country adoption. Florida currently bans gays from adopting within the state, but if we adopt outside of the country, what are our rights once we return to Florida? We've read that after you adopt, you must re-adopt within your state? Does anyone know if this is true? I've contacted several attorneys none of which could help because there aren't any laws for gay adoption. Please, if anyone can point us in the right direction, or provide some advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Ron
