We had a forum before that was called magic moments... I may recreate that forum just to get you guys talking more about your proud father moments, or moments like this one where I was just so happy for my son... Please take a look at this post on my journal about my oldest son, #55 (um... not my fifty fifth son; it's just a jersey numer Eeker)

My dear brother of the soul,

I'm a little behind in responding (hell, I've been a little behind in doing much around here for two years.... HissyFit but your pride in Josiah prompts this....

My darling daughter has been doing so well... as a musical theatre major we had LOTS of issues with supposed problems with her vocal apparatus... I ain't a doctor... I don't know... apparently these issues were false... but I guess that depends on the doctor.... She's been reported by the latest to be fine. And she's also made the transition from dancer (which was her entire focus from 3 to 17) to singer/actress.... but the dance skills are still there!!!

Anyway, I don't remember when last I boasted about my baby, but she was hired to be assistant choreographer for a summer theatre gig of 30 years history last summer... was cast at one of the best dinner theatres in the Baltimore/DC area (they regularly get Helen Hayes nominations and awards... DC's version of the Tony... lol) and is going to school full time and doing 8 shows a week!!!! I don't know how she does it....

She's already been hired to be assistant choreographer for a DC based college for their spring show... and the podunk dinner theatre I work at is salivating to have her do Chorus Line when it comes up next fall.... OMG... I would so love to work with my baby again!!!! What a treasure it was to be not only father but comrade and compatriot with my daughter...

And, she's really screwed up... but that's another post... lol...

All the best,

Smokey

And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.

LOL, this reminds me, Smokes... Guys, when I first met this dear man he drove two hours north to my house with a car load of video tapes of his princess from dance competitions and performances. Talk about proud! And he should be.

As far as the messed up bit, honey, now she knows that the red engine light on the dash really does mean something. Let's hope she learned as much as your wallet paid through this one. hugs...

Now tonight is more of an easy going magic moment... maybe the whole weekend. See, I don't often get to keep them for more than one night/two days at a time, but they are here with me all weekend.

We did some silly filming today, kinda Star Wars bloopers with light sabers in the yard, just hung out, made cookies and pizza tonight. Watched Monster House, just the three boys, me and Brian.

Then in the morning, because I am so badly missing Vincent and David and our recent trip to N. Ireland, I will be making soda bread and fruit scones for breakfast. Maybe I'll just pretend you are here too, Vince. And Smokey, I'll have the strong coffee on to brew, so think of me too.

LOL, my 13 year old, Jon, just read this over my shoulder. I told him it was no big deal, probably boring. He agreed that I must live an unexciting life. LOL

... Nah!

Tell me a magic moment, I'd love to hear it.
