Good Evening, Fathers,

Although I'm nearly a founding "father" here... I've been very quiet for a couple of years... or sporadic, at best...

I'm writing this post because I came to a realization...

My former wife and I are ok with each other, we've always put our daughter first, that's never been an issue... until recently....

My beloved bug admittedly stupidly killed her damn car... we've discussed that... we're going to work together to remind her about maintenance and such.... The thing that amazed me was when my former wife told me last week that she could do not a thing to help with getting my girl another car.... she has to have a car...

Understand, we're not rich people... I live paycheck to paycheck and work two jobs just to get by... my former wife and I were not smart with money and I was way too generous to her for way too long... it's not my fault that she decided to open a business that's not paying her...

Anyway, I came to the realization (okay, I'm dumb about things... and I'm blond, does that offer any excuse? lol) that my beloved daughter has a mother I don't even know anymore, who is more interested in caring for the homeless man in rehab that she's taken in... has a sperm donor (I won't grace him with the title of father, as I've been her father all her life) who's got a horribly complicated life, a step mother who is totally ineffective....

All she has is me... and with four parents, I find that very sad.... what happened to putting your children first? Which, to me, is a no brainer..
