I have always been somewhat fascinated by the whole ethos and experiences described of those that go to this event in the desert. Do we have anyone onboard that has gone to this, or knows anyone who returns year after year? I have looked at the official site and others, especially the amazing photographs of art work and ...well just culture...but not as we..I know it.

So someone indulge me...

I had a boyfriend two years ago who had been to Burning Man. He was quite the free spirit, and I eventually found out had a bit of a love for drugs I have never indulged in. I knew from the start the relationship could never last, but it sure was a heck of a lot of fun while it lasted! But... he was too young, too wild, too directionless for a single dad with the responsibilities of kids to put up with. From his experience, Burning Man was a drug infested love-in with a live-and-let live attitude. He found the "gay" camp quite easily... And I don't think he revealed half of what he was involved in while there. A very hedonistic experience, at least from what he experienced. He was also an artist in his own right, very avant garde. So I think he fit in rather naturally.
