I am the father of a beautiful 12 year old daughter. I live in Far N. Dallas. I have been divorced since 1998 and believe it is time to find the right guy and settle down. I am not into the bar scene and prefer to read, dine out, cook, go to winetastings, coffeshops, etc. Looking for other fathers in the area. I am not out to my daughter at her mother's request. I am religious, Catholic, and would like to find someone with similar spirituality.
I don't know what else to say.

Oh my, again, I've missed posts. Even getting them in my email I get behind with extra work hours and emails from teachers, my sons' mother, family, etc.

I am sorry, "LOOKING", that I didn't get a chance to really welcome you to the forums here at GF. I hope things with you and your daughter.

We seem to have a great many dads joining us from the Dallas area. Perhaps our BillN has been spreading the word about this place. There are a lot of guys out there who fly "under the radar," as it were, regarding the bar scene and who are looking for someone to build a life with.

If you haven't already, you might try googling and looking for some local gatherings outside of the bar crowd. I know we have a link to Fathers First in Houston in our resources pages. It looks like there are some meet-up possibilities near Dallas you can check out for other gay dads. Click Here. Keep looking about, there may be other meet ups or maybe local gatherings. You can even see if there is a GLBT hotline listed in your Dallas phone directory and they could point you toward possible social networking groups.
