I'm still here as well. Just been overly tired. Have I told you that my partner Dwight and I held a handfasting?



It was officiated by an Anglican minister (wh is no longer 'allowed' to perform Sacremants, due to his willingness to bless committed same-sex couples and same-sex marriage!)..

anyway, Dwight is Catholic , I am Wiccan and teh officiate Anglican! Father Shawn did a nice blend of Pagan/Christian views and since he also provided out reach to the Native Community here in ToonTown, he is quite well versed in the elements. He has a deep respect for Pagans as well as his fellow Christians. (I like him too!). Anyhow, check out the pictures in my album.

Hey, B! Great to hear from you and glad you are still here. I'm not familiar with the ceremony, but I am very happy for you and Dwight.

The ceremony itself is of a pagan tradition,. In Wicca, we use a cord knotted around both of our clasped hands, binding the relationship with Air, Water, Fire, Earth and then by spirit: Here is an excerpt from part of the ceremony Note: this is a hybrid of a Christian/Wiccan ceremony:

I bind you with the power of Earth that your relationship will remain rock solid and secure (Tie one knot)

Lastly, I bind you with the power of Spirit that your relationship will remain constant with the blessings of the Creator (Tie the final knot)

Fresh beginnings with the rising of each Sun.
