Hi All,
Hey, Can anyone give me some links or suggestions where I can meet some single gay fathers. I am going to start dating again down the road and kniw it is difficult at best to find some quality men with children that want a serious relationship with another single father. Any advise would be great!

This is a topic that has concerned me for some time. Although I am partnered and have been for almost 8 years, a couple of my close friends are not, but would like to be. Some of these gay men are also fathers and members here.

When we couldn't find resources for gay dads, we started this site. Since then there have been more resources, even on Gay.com (I'll be linking to some of them as soon as I get to it!), but still, when it comes to dating for the single dad, let alone the single GAY dad... what sort of help is there?

I am thinking of doing some searching for dating resources that might be helpful for dads, gay or straight, but in the end, one of us might have to get this ball rolling on our own.

What are your thoughts?

Sorry for the confusion. What I found on gay.com was merely a list of local and regional gay father groups, not a link to gay dad dating. I'll dig for the link...

Well, my friends,

My personal experience with gay.com is stay the heck away from it... in my experience, it's a bunch of self-loathing losers who think that sex is the be all, end all, and haven't a clue what a relationship means. I've even met single dads there who behave in, I think, a very grotesque way when they have children who live with them. As I mentioned to a guy, recently, that I was quite innocently just chatting with, finding a man who is wholesome seems to be practically impossible... and, I feel that as fathers, we should lead lives that our children can look to with respect... and lives that they want to emulate by being decent human beings... that's a very rare thing to find in the gay world...

And, yes, I've become extremely negative toward the gay world as it presents itself .... I would never go to a pride celebration because they don't celebrate what I take pride in... I'm a man who happens to be gay, not a gay man in the sense of who and what I see gay men present themselves to be...

Of course, nothing is ever black and white.... I have met some really nice guys on gay.com, usually in the love/relationship room... but, heck, I'm an old man and don't want to relocate... finding another old man like me (I have NO interest in younger men... lol.. ), who wants what I want and is possibly open to relocate is practically impossible, it seems. And, I'm very careful about that now, I'm still recovering financially from the supposed love of my life who just walked out the door one day.

For what it's worth? My good ex boyfriend found his man on gay.com... and he emailed me recently that they have just bought a house together... I'm very happy for him... he's a wonderful man and he deserves the absolute best...

Wait... what were we talking about? LOL....

Actually, I think that any venue is worthwhile to look for a potential boyfriend... heck, I met my best friend by finding GF... my new discovery, and it ain't for all but it is for me, is that the guy MUST be non-scene... wallowing in the gay lifestyle seems to kill relationships faster than anything in the world, far as I can tell.... I've never been a part of it and, frankly, find it disturbing...

All the best,

Smokey

Thou canst not then be false to any man.

Mark and all, we've received information from OhMojo.com saying that they have added us a link for a family friendly site. There's looks like a rather good dating service. They are not exclusively fathers, but the place seems family friendly.

Here's a link to the page where they mention us at Gay Fatherhood Click HERE.

So just following up on the post about OhMojo.com, I'm just wondering, has anyone at all had any success with this site? I find it completely and utterly useless.

Well, I suppose perhaps if you had the face and body of someone like Lance Armstrong you might not have much trouble. eh?

Yeah, I agree, Jim. Although I haven't talked to anyone who has used it, it does seem pretty lame. No better than any other. Ah well.
