Heph mentioned to me that he would like to see more space here for grandfathers on GF and I admit that I've always felt it was one of our biggest weaknesses-- not having more for the men some of us will one day become; the men we turn to for advice...

Any thoughts? I was thinking a grandfather message board, but then I also thought a sort of advice section, maybe "Ask Grandpa?"

What are your suggestions to make our granddads feel more at home and for the rest of us to get the chance to sit at their feet, as it were, and learn a bit more from these great men among us?

I want to bring this topic up again, because some former members have asked about this, and because, let's face it, we all may be grandfathers some day.

I am not convinced that this site is for dads with young kids only. I will still be a father even when my kids are forty and over. So why don't we find some ways to help with the needs of the gay grand dads among us? Not only that, why don't we think about how we can learn from them and perhaps glean a bit of their wisdom?

Any grandpas among us? How do we make you, and eventually US feel more at home at GayFatherhood.com?

Son of Walt,
Hmmm, I'm confused over this one. Who draws the line into grandfather hood? Like I said I am 54 years of age raising my 6 year old on my own. I think we can learn from everyone. Each of us brings a different perspective. I say, just jump right in and join the club. Like Bette Midler sang, "hello in there".
