Exploring the Attic |
My flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who
seemed to put everyone in a good mood as he served us food and drinks. As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and told us that "Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane shortly, so lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that would be super." On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed this well-dressed and rather exotic looking woman hadn't moved a muscle. "Perhaps you didn't hear me over those big brute engines but I asked you to raise your trazy-poo, so the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground." She calmly turned her head and said, "In my country, I am called a Princess and I take orders from no one." To which (I swear) the flight attendant replied, without missing a beat, "Well, sweet-cheeks, in my country I'm called a Queen, so I outrank you. Tray-up, Wench!" >>> If you can't be good, be good at it! <<< |

If only I could hear such a thing on the plane! lol
On our flight to Ireland we had a delightful flight attendant. I wish I could remember he name, but everything that Brian asked she forgot. But she was so damned cute and sweet and funny about it, we found it endearing instead of annoying. He'd say "chicken," she brought beef. He'd say "white wine," she'd bring red. She said he had this little black hole of forgetfulness just floating around his head that made her lose her memory. But we adored her. On the flight back there was at least one gay attendant, but his baseball-coachesque fellow attendant was the most amusing. He'd get kids to help him roll the cart down the isle to pick up trash. He even had an older Irish woman wear his apron and take orders! While I've seen your joke before, it makes me think of the many blogging flight attendants online and how they don't seem to always get the respect they deserve. These folks do an amazing job when you think about it. Thanks for the chuckle, Lewk! She was never bored, because she was never boring. - Ella Fitzgerald |
