After 25 years of being a Republican, I switched Parties this year. A Die-Hard Democrat, I am.

Initially, Hillary had my heart, however, after her bowing out of the race. I have read up and I'm now Supporting Obama !! I have so many reasons, I won't take up the space !!!

NC is now a battleground state. I stood in line for 2 1/2 hours on Saturday to cast my ballot. I am so impressed with voter turnout. Whether Democrat or Republican, I am so pleased to see our country taken this election seriously. NOW....If my candidate doesn't win....Any suggestions on which country to move too? Maybe Canada !! I am going to an election party night over here in Ireland....the last time I did the was the time Ronnie Reagan was elected!!!!

I too hope for change....and think it could be a wonderful opportunity for the USA...and a message to the world if the Democrats and Obama get the chance to take charge and implement some of the policies they have put forward.

Good luck..... Vincent...xx

In addition to the presidential election, AZ is also voting (AGAIN!) on whether the definition of marriage should be put into the state constitution as a union between a man and a woman. It was already voted on once and it didn't pass, but it has ended up back on the ballot again. Frowner

Hew Lew what is the sentiment in Phoenix on the amendment...will it pass this time? The press seems to think so and it appears that our own leadership is putting all the monehy in CA practically giving up on AZ. They seem to think that McCain's running will make more Republicans come out to vote who would had no interest in voting int he pass and they will pass the amendment. Alex

I am not sure about the rest of Phoenix, but I have a feeling it will pass. I see and hear much more about getting it to pass, than I do about fighting it. Frowner

I just hope that it doesn't pass. I will be doing my part by voting. Hopefully enough others do too.
