Thank you for the terrific blog, and the very articulate response to the negative comment left by one of the readers.

Hey, thanks for the link to your blog, guys! And thanks for joining up and participating here at GF. The Write to Marry entry was really well done. Glad to have the link and get the chance to interact on your blog with you too.
I have my own write to sister about marry sort of post I have still been working on. Trying to say it just right, but probably thinking too hard. Oh, and I just saw your response on Hair Cut Day on my new blog I've been putting together. Our own Gay Fathers Blog needs some attention too lately. I'm getting some new software this week that'll help me in sprucing some things up. Meanwhile we need to start a message board here and some links to great gay dad blogs. I'll work on putting together a better home page for GF too, with a blog roll and a better spot for the links. Great to have you two on board! It appears that proposition 8 may actually pass, which is a great disappointment, and I wonder what more I could or should have done and what can be done in the future. But I refuse to give up hope, especially after the other election results that rocked the nation last night.
There is reason to hope, and reason for action. I like Obama's model of a nation of people who look out not just for themselves but for each other. I like his call to civic action. So I intend to step it up myself. Here in Pennsylvania I have still not finished my letter to my sister, so that's first on my list. I posted on The Dad Poet about my reaction to the speeches given last night. If you missed them you should give them a listen. I do think there is reason to hope, and a reasonable, strong and intelligent leader on his way to the white house. Let's answer his call to do our part as well. Now I need to get a nap. Anyone else get only a few hours of sleep because of watching the results last night? She was never bored, because she was never boring. - Ella Fitzgerald |

Sorry, had the links all screwed up in that reply. They're fixed now. Okay, about that nap...
