So anymore takers....here is a chance to be part of a project where we record from a gay mans perspective what it is to be a father, what our experience was of having a father...is to this day. Why we are, and what we think about parenting, how we related through the years to our own parents,to other significant adults and role models that were important to us and helped frame our attitude to the role in society of a Dad.

Anyone else want to indicate at this early stage and interest in being a contributor?

Cheerio for now...Vincent...xx thinking....go on think about it, and let's make something happen that will help our straight protagonists who think we can't...shouldn't.....don't manage to be great parents think again, and encourage our gay buddies who are frightened and need this kind of encouragement.

Hi All,

I am just reminding you about this one...so far we have a few guys willing to think about it....have any of you been doing any writing in private around this subject?

So just to review; we are looking for men to contribute to a resource book where the subject is around fatherhood. Being a father, having one, knowing other fathers, talking about how other men have affected your perspective on the role of a father in society today...your own life, or anothers that you have witnessed.

I want us to demonstrate and document the normaility, the challenge, the hurdles, the variety, the joy etc of being a father and being gay. I want us to shine a light on our relationships with our own fathers, our kids, other parental figures....how we see our role and if it is different to other men who are fathers and not gay. I want others to get some sense of the array of roles and experiences we have had and live, so that others can have the courage to come out, and for gay men in general not to rule themselves out of the chance to be a father, to have families of their own...see where I am trying to go with this?

We can deal with any issues around confidentility during editing etc, but the idea is that we will publish, or have available on the net a book; the small profits from which we will put to either paying for this site.... or if it goes well then perhaps a gf.com vacation for members...yeah I can hope.

Cheerio for now...Vincent...xx
