My Dearest Fellow Gay Fathers:

The Christmas season is upon us, and this year I have to say it is very special to me. Even though I know none of you personally, I regard all of you, my fellow gay dads, along with your children, as my family. Being of Polish culture, I keep many of the old Polish Christmas traditions alive. On Christmas Eve, when the family sits together for our 13 course feast of Christmas, an empty place is always set to represent members of the family who could not be here to share in this feast with us. This year that empty place will represent all of you gathered here on this site. Even though you may not be here in body at my festive table, you will all be here in spirit, sharing this Yuletide meal with me and my boys. A candle will be placed in my front window to show the way, for all the spirits of my fellow gay fathers, and their children.
This year as well, I have put up a special Christmas tree in my dining room. The tree is decorated with 199 paper angels,all hand made. I went to the member list on this site, and on each angel, I wrote the name of each member of Gay Fathers. As I mentioned earlier, I may not know any of you personally, but you are my family, and the arms of my children and mine as well are open to all of you. You all hold a special place in our hearts, not only at Christmas, but the whole year through.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you the best during this Christmas Season. May God bless you and make all your wishes come true. There is one other tradition in Polish Christmas, that one day I have the hope to be able to share with some of you in person, and that is the breaking of the traditional Christmas bread. The bread is broken and each person wishes the other the blessings of the season. I do that in spirit this year for all of you. May the Lord, keep you healthy, may he bestow upon you the strength, the patience, and the love to be great fathers. May he guide you to your hearts' desires, and may he keep you close to his side throughout the comming year.
I love you all, and remember, that you will all be close to my heart this Christmas season!!
