Just waking up late with a birthday cake/coffee breakfast. So you knew about this too, huh? Unfortunately you and Smokey couldn't make it. That would have made everything yesterday so over the top wonderful.

As it was it was a perfect day, despite rain. But who cares, I was in a limo with friends, sipping champagne, touring around the NY Finger Lakes, going to more wine tastings than anyone has a right to. We ate at a wonderful little restaurant for dinner. Harbor Station, something or other... Trout with apples and almonds...

Cape May's Hawk Migration and a trip to visit Bobbie and Jeff in Boston still lay ahead of me this week. You boys better call me!

And keep things going here while I'm away. Miss you much. I'll post pics!

And hey, forty ain't so bad. I think I actually like it!
