Update My daughter Nancy Graduated from High School and she is attending Weber State University to be an RN...My Son RICHARD IS IN his last year of high school.....Then he wants to go in the military....Keeping my fingers crossed that the war ends before then...

Ray, welcome back! It's great to hear from you again. The children do grow up, don't they. I keep trying to tell myself that it's supposed to be that way.

Congrats on your daughter's graduation and I'll cross my fingers for Richard as well.

Hi Ray,

Glad to see you made to the new...ish site here at GF.com. It is amazing how quickly time flies by, seems like not that long ago we were holding them in our arms, and wondering what they would choose to do when they grew up....and hey presto!!! My boy is nearly 17 now and has his mind fixed on becoming a police officer. I have mixed feelings about that, but then the situation is very different here now than it was when I joined up 20 years ago.

We just have to encourage them to make the best of life and enjoy it as much as they can...our personal worries for them will never go away, I guess that's what being a loving parent is.

Keep us in touch with what happens....and I trust the situation re current military campaigns maybe different before Richard enlists.
