My name's Shannon, my partner is Calvin, we're in our mid/late 30s, we live in Mountain View California and just finished all the paperwork/background/home study for an open adoption. Now we're 'on the market' and just waiting for a contact from a birthmother... which could come tomorrow, or it could come a year from now or later. We've been wanting to become parents for a long time (since we met 9 years ago) and just recently decided our life was in order and we were ready.
Anyway, we'd love to chat with anyone who has been through open adoption, or would love to connect with other gay couples/fathers in the area.

Welcome to GF.com. I see from your posting and web site that you are doing all you can to become parents....and I would wish you every luck and success with that endeavor. We do have members who have adopted children, in fact Wayne in NYC is something of a pioneer in that respect!!

I trust that any members here or visitors who are near you and involved in parenting will take the opportunity to check out your site and make contact, we all can learn from each other and enjoy the mutual support too.
