Hello all, I'm a single gay father in his mid 30’s raising 2 wonderful boys 4 and 5 (fulltime). I found this site while trying to do some research on anther family topic. I hope to visit this site often and share my stories and challenges with you. Although, my children continue to bring me great pleasure it at time can be a bit overwhelming. I’m finding that the older they get the more joy and pain I get. Its great to know that there’s a site available to gay father’s that can share their experience with those of us that may have less experience.

Welcome to our home. Here we have a great bunch of men who love their kids, from all over the world...me I'm from Northern Ireland... with one boy of 16.

You have two young ones, all on your own too, wow, there must be an interesting story there, perhaps you would feel comfortable sharing a bit of it with us soon. Watch out for the Friday chat room announcement, good time to 'meet' some of the other guys and find out a bit more about the rest of us...David our Founding Father and Smokey his good friend help mentor it and encourage a topic and general chat.

This really is a place to share the good days and the tough ones too...look for and offer support, have a laugh and be certain in the knowledge that there are plenty of us in the same boat.

Hello father of 2, I wanted to throw my welcome out as well.

You have two sons 4 and 5 full time, that is amazing. I have three daughters, 15, 10 and 5, only every other weekend but talk with them almost nightly. You must be really busy with your sons. I know how the 4 and 5 yr olds are, the best is that they are so innocent.

My own 5 yr old, has never really experienced living with me full time as a family because I moved out when she was maybe 2, so her memories are probably not there except maybe the fighting and arguing. I don't know if you've experienced this or not, but with my 5 yr old, she knows exactly when I'm upset about something and comes running to try to make me feel better.

Kids are the greatest, eh?
